‘Rauma in Motion’, a Dance-U-Mentary film, was created during a two month residency in Rauma, Finland as a fresh perspective to documenting a town’s fascinating culture, terrain, history, people, and way of life distinctively through natural and choreographed movement. Conceived, filmed, and directed by Matt Reeves and Colette Krogol of Orange Grove Dance, along with hundreds of Rauma community members, ‘Rauma in Motion’ takes the viewer on a unique journey into the locomotion, mobility, and flow of a town where the days were growing longer, the grass growing greener, and the bicycles zooming by at all hours of the day. The first film of its kind, this Dance-U-Mentary, ‘Rauma in Motion’ contains no dialogue, only movement, and is scored by notable composer Dylan Glatthorn. |
