A group of small town folks keeping a dark secret, when a group of would be travelers led by Nina and Marshall decide to investigate the disappearance of their friend Robert Preston (Robbie) a corporate environmentalist collecting strange water samples from the mountain region of River Hollow. Nina, Marshall and with the help of three other friends, arrive from the city to inquiring about their colleague Robbie. They have traced his last known whereabouts and phone call to the gorgeous mountainous area of River Hollow, the group starts to suspect that something is not right, and immediately become suspicious, at what starts out as just odd, guarded behavior by the town folk, soon turns into something more ominous. It slowly becomes evident that the five strangers are not welcome. Refusing to heed the blatant warnings and admonishments from the local sheriff the group is now determined to find their friend and co-worker at any cost. The population of River Hollow, have now banded together and the window of opportunity for the five visitors to leave on their own has now closed. They quickly begin to learn more about the country town of River Hollow than they had bargain for, it’s strange residents and their dark secrets they’ll do anything to protect, including murder to keep the city travelers from discovering what make this town so eerily different.
