A small town janitor cleans up the streets and finds discarded objects or clues, and keeps them preciously to himself. The paper boy searches for the truth behind the ‘Missing girl’, but eventually ends up where he doesn’t belong. Everything seems normal in this quiet little town… The story of “The Virgin & The Sentinel” is built upon rhythm, atmosphere and emotion. Since there is no dialog throughout the film, the substance can only be explained with its symbolic visuals and eerie sounds. The use of ellipse between specific scenes and the fusion between reality and dream creates a nightmarish experience that allows the audience to use their imagination in order to fully understand this disturbing yet poetic tale. |
