A romantic comedy set to the backdrop of London, England and the world of professional soccer. A young American man sets out to fulfill a childhood dream and live up to the enormous potential that has been bestowed upon him. Along the way, he gets more than he bargained for in the form of sleazy tabloid fodder, an increasing medical issue, a team full of ragtag hooligans and a maniacal chairman hell-bent on taking full advantage of our young hero.
