Details:

Historically, girls and women who participated in sports weren’t considered REAL athletes! As a result, they weren’t given the same consideration in terms of training for strength and conditioning for their sport, and oftentimes became discouraged by the lack of support and of being taken seriously. Today, girls and women of all ages are competing in record numbers, but one unfortunate result of this increase is the increase in the number of sports-related injuries to these athletes. What can be done? What inspires young girls to compete? How do female athletes view themselves in the world of sports? What lessons learned and benefits gained come from female participation in athletics and strength and conditioning? Here we’ll take a look into what motivates our female athletes and what’s being done to help them pursue their passion.
