‘Rats’ is a short neo-noir film set in modern Toronto. It relates the story of Kev and Benz, two petty teenagers. The viewer follows them for one full day, during which their whole life changes as they find themselves at the wrong place at the wrong time. They are falsely accused of turning in a small-time dealer, Jafar, and every choice they make that day are going to lead them to a disastrous consequence. ‘Rats’ takes place in known vistas of Toronto as well as more underground ones where sewer rats like to wander. |
