On the outskirts of Brooklyn lies an abandoned airport with miles of runway, neglected airplane hangars, sprawling fields, and a desolate beach. Population: two. A 20-year-old couple share an intimate experience in the idle control tower. As they continue their date along the runway, through a run-down warehouse, and into a hangar filled with restored WWII aircraft, we watch the silent deterioration of their relationship as an omniscient narrator recounts their feelings. Ultimately, when the young woman ditches her boyfriend on the beach, he must decide if he loves her like he said he did in the control tower. |
