Sundance Documentary Film Fellow Deborah S. Esquenazi unearths yet another bizarre criminal case emerging from Texas. This short documentary focuses on Dan Keller, a former daycare operator falsely convicted of child molestation during the national ‘Satanic sexual abuse’ panic of the late-80’s and early-90’s. Dan is an old man now, recently freed after serving 22 years of a 48-year sentence. Today, he bears somber witness to a panic few young Americans remember, but which they cannot afford to forget. |
