= Low Quality | = Medium Quality | = High Quality | How do I watch these? |
I read a lot about WWII and watch tv series & movies about WWII. This one does sound interesting and here is a bit more about this event that happened in 1944. In June 1944, with the US invasion of Europe hanging in the balance, Allied commanders issued a top-secret directive that would send six men behind enemy lines to assassinate a high-valued German target. A mixed unit of soldiers from the 82nd Airborne, comprised of men from Easy, Able and Dog Companies, was joined by a lone member of the French Resistance. Their mission has never been officially acknowledged, and there is no record the unit ever existed. But those who were there gave it a name of its own: Murder Company.
Looked at the reviews, only 2, one said it was reasonable, but low budget, with probably most of the $ going to pay for Grammar, but still probably worth watching despite it, as they gave it a good effort, and the other one being rather negative. No idea how it got such a high rating based on that.
I’ll wait until a few people have watched and come back and collect a few opinions. I like a good WW2 movie, but want to make it worth the time, as I don’t ave the time to watch as much any more, but will be laid up again here pretty soon again with a second shoulder surgery (other arm this time, go figure, end of August), so will have a little time on my hands) and might watch a few movies. Or just try and read….
I’ve never been a Kelsey Grammar, seems like every character he plays, he’s cocky. I think it is his nature to be cocky even in real life. But I’ll shall watch it since it is a WWII series. Hope the surgery goes smoothly and have those ice packs on standby.
Actually, I’ve always kind of liked him just on account of that. Don’t know if he’s actually like that in real life or not, but think it brings something to his humor. Maybe something to the other roles as well. Like I said though, until others have watched this, and have somewhat to say about it, I’ll hold off…Let me know what you think.
About to watch episode one or maybe I’ll watch the first 2 episodes of Grace and save this one for weekend.
Keep me posted!
It’s a true story WWII movie according to the description of the movie from search engines. Some parts may have been exaggerated in the movie, I have no way of knowing that but this murder group performed some crazy missions and the characters were pretty much out there themselves. The actors were good and the story was certainly worthy of being told. I rated the movie 3/5 and I think its good for a one time watch.
Looks good
This movie is a “Redbox filler movie”. (aka, B-Movie)
