Manuel is a single father and has his own lawn care business. Leo, his 17-year-old son, aspires to be a game designer, however, neglects his homework in order to play video games. One day while working for a client, Manuel suffers a nearly fatal heart attack. He decides not to tell Leo the magnitude of what happened, and instead, enlists him to help with the landscaping business. Conflict arises from the very beginning as Leo struggles on his first day, and argues with his father. Adding to further conflict, the lawnmower breaks down. Manuel hits emotional rock bottom and nearly comes clean to Leo, but instead keeps his fears to himself.
