With the use of archive film material and photographs the director exposes the important parts of his life: the moments that have created the man he is today. Presenting a naive childhood and a love of his profession as a filmmaker, the director presents a film born out of his first moments with a camera in the Bosnian war - a war that banished him from his home. With the war having made a soldier out from a boy, the film shows memories to cry to, to be angry with and laugh at by showing how the war defined his world view and almost destroyed his dreams. The film “Self Reflection” is a product of the Film Director’s course at the Academy of Performing Arts in Sarajevo. It is premiered at the 21st Sarajevo Film Festival in the Official Documentary category on August 19th 2015.
