The film was awarded by the California State Assembly as a “a ground breaking film”. And awarded by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s department for “service to members of the community”. The film has won 8 “Best Short Film” awards in 2021, and won back-to-back “Best Short Film” awards at two of Italy’s premier film festivals: the 22nd ShorTS International Film Festival in Trieste, and the 24th Marano Ragazzi Spot Festival in Naples. The film also won back-to-back awards at the American Presidents Film and Literary Festival, The DC South Asian Film Festival, and the Indian Film Festival of Cincinnati. The film was selected for the 2021 Sedona International Film Festival, considered by multiple entertainment outlets as a “Top 10 festival in the world”. The film also screened at the 35th Washington, D.C. International Film Festival and the 36th Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival. And was one of four films selected for the 2021 Annual Seema Summit along with two Academy Award® nominated/winning films. The concept of Tikkun Olam was introduced to Bob Ahmed through a family friend, Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks. “Tikkun Olam” was described as “excellent and exceptional” by the National Coalition For The Homeless.
