In Halberstadt, Sachsen-Anhalt, the performance of John Cage’s organ piece Organ2 / ASLSP has been held since the year 2000. The duration of the performance is 639 years. The building, in which the performance is being held, was built around 1060. ‘Impulse, by slow pans, floating tracking shots and intent framing, circles equally place and subject. Inside and outside, layering of time, a single tone modulated by the ambient noise. The next impulse in years, melt into a short event. What will remain of the visible world?
