“The Promise” - Maj-Briht and Helle are both over 80 years old when they finally get married. In front of the priest, they promise to “love and nurture” each other “in sickness and in health.” Shortly after the wedding, Helle becomes ill and is moved to retirement homes. Maj-Briht has difficulty accepting the new situation and does everything she can so that the two can be together as much as possible. |
