A granddaughter and her grandparents talk on the phone constantly for a while. The conversations reveal a former life that her granddaughter did not know about her grandparents. Phone calls are marked by loving confessions and weaknesses that only a young adult and elderly grandparent could share. Memories of the time that were together are evoked, creating the need to meet. Now face to face, they can create new memories, new stories, and recreate the ones that have passed. |
