Bandleader Shep Fields is distraught about the poor showing of his band. When his wife Zook begins blowing bubbles in a soda fountain drink, Shep gets an idea to revolutionize big band music: he’ll blow bubbles before every song! Furthermore, he eliminates trumpets and trombones from the band, creating what he calls The New Music. In performance, the band plays “Long May We Love,” with vocals by Ken Curtis. |
