The film tells the story of Richard, a volunteer fire lookout slowly dying from an undisclosed illness. Over the course of a summer, he’s forced to come to terms with his shortcomings, his past failures and the disappointment of never achieving much in his life all while battling the supreme isolation of the Montana wilderness. |
