NYC Public School Principal is the fascinating story of Aura Rivera, the former Principal of the Roberto Clemente Junior High School in Harlem, New York. We follow the rise of this intellectually gifted educator. From her humble beginning in the Lower East Side of Manhattan to becoming a scholar in high school and college. On to teaching and eventually becoming a Principal in the largest public school system in the United States, she was challenged with the obstacles of educating inner city children and expected to deliver results. Ms. Rivera, on a yearly basis masterly assembles and outstanding and dedicated teaching staff who carry out her innovative and daring plans to succeed. Both students and educators will be inspired. |
