Lamplight is the story of a young writer struggling to finish a book in time to meet his first deadline. During the process he’s haunted by memories of his lonely childhood and abusive single mother. We learn of his internal turmoil that is only being compounded by a broken heart from a recently lost love. His long time girlfriend left him over his writing (lack of success, time away from her, etc.)The subject matter that the writer is tackling pushes his fragile emotional state over the edge causing him to act out in drastic and self destructive ways. |
