Writer and Director, Justyn Bell, brings a story to life, seldom told from the perspectives of every angle. The story of “Livestock” directly involves the lives of three various individuals who all seemingly are trapped within the dangerous world that is human-trafficking. The first story, is of a couple (Kate and Alan) who’s son has gone missing, and is now currently pursued by authorities and detectives alike. Particularly by a couple of detectives named Manuel Torres and Frank Fuller. The detectives believe their son, Ben, may have been involving in a possible abduction case, and the wars within the family grow stronger than the wars outside the home. The second story is of a young woman named Alex; a heroin-addicted throw away, who is on the cusp of living life in a downward spiral. Her girlfriend (Millie) and her, are holding a boy (Jacob), against his will; and see no end in sight. The third story involves a girl named Kaja. Kaja has been kidnapped against her will, stuck in a house with a man she barely knows, along with another young girl who’s also been abducted by the same man. The story unfolds both intimately and tragically, telling every perspective of both parents and captor, but also victim as well. Writer and Director Justyn Bell, presents his directorial feature-length debut in “Livestock.” |
