It begins with a series of unexplained disappearances, the victims all young women. Sophie, a determined and solitary documentary filmmaker, has been investigating these cases on her own. She seeks help from Valentina, a brash ex-lover and professional dominatrix working in the sexual underworld of San Francisco. Valentina is afraid, unwilling to confront her past, but why? What is she hiding? The closer Sophie gets to the truth, the more she gets lost in the story until Sophie can no longer tell the difference between what is real, and what is a dream… or a nightmare. |
