At its heart The Champ is an underdog tale about David, a formerly victorious Kung Fu Karaoke champion who has returned for one last shot at reclaiming his former glory before time runs out and age rules prevent him from competing. Wrapped in comic absurdity, David’s story explores the themes of family, self confidence and victory against all odds set against the hyper-real world of Kung Fu Karaoke.
