Daniel is a writer who tries to break out of his depression by having sex with strangers. His encounter with Marnie becomes more intimate than he expected. She reminds him of his mother. In an attempt to forget that regrettable sex, he goes to a party to get drunk. He flirts with the young writer Maggie, whose problems with her own mother reveal to Daniel that escape from his incredible sadness might come in the form of a mother-figure. But he already had sex with her tonight. Is Daniel (Norman Yeung) suffering from writer’s block or depression? He avoids writing by seeking sex with a stranger. His encounter with Marnie (Janet Lo) becomes more intimate than he expected. She reminds him of his mother. In an attempt to forget this regrettable encounter, he goes to a party where best friend Charlie (Cara Gee) hooks him up with Maggie (Allison Scagliotti). Maggie’s own parental troubles reveal to Daniel that in order to solve his writing problems and be happier, he must first confront his issues with his mother. |
