Jamie, a 16 year old girl is afflicted with a rare hereditary blood disease known as medical vampirism. Pained by this burden, her mother Maggie resorts to what she can to assure Jamie’s safety and survival, isolating her from the world outside of their own. Strangled by this way of life, Jamie seeks to break away from the constraints of her illness, becoming everything her mother has come to fear. |
