Animation blends with documentary footage of traffic in Manhattan in this homage to bicycle messengers. A voice-over narrator describes the importance of their work, moving things from point A to point B in Manhattan faster than any other physical medium. Experienced messengers can deliver 40 packages a day and see 15 seconds into the future. They are constantly triaging, factoring delivery priorities with distance, construction activity, and traffic patterns. They risk life and limb daily for their clients, city, and self. As he speaks, we watch several messengers manage traffic, elevators, and peril. |
