Robbie, a geeky and smart-mouthed teenage boy, who is struggling to find his place in the world, is shocked when he receives a letter from the Avenger’s League of America rejecting him from their organisation. Feeling angry and worthless, Robbie carelessly disposes of the letter, only to realise that someone in his suburban community has managed to obtain it and now contains knowledge of his power to turn invisible in the dark. Paranoia strikes Robbie as his suspicions point to Sully, a mysterious neighbourhood boy. After many failed attempts to confront Sully and retrieve the letter, Robbie’s mood continues to deteriorate, leading to a state of isolation. The situation is not made any better when his naive, free-spirited Mother and Becca, the girl from next door with an apparent fascination with Robbie, are thrown into the mix. In the end Robbie discovers that Becca is the holder of the letter and possesses the same power as him, finally giving a sense of belonging. |

Alien : Fantastic film! It was wonderful to see Isabella Rossellini. Her role was small but vital....
