The Struggle is Real is a documentary that shadows the lives of four NYC creatives: Rapper Radamiz, make-up artist and assistant stylist Yaya, movie director Haley, and event DJ Chery. The film provides the viewer with unique insights on the various struggles faced by each individual during their journey to obtain success within today’s creative industry. The documentary covers issues of gender roles in entertainment, the importance (or lack there) of a college education, the true purpose of internships, the weight a parents emotional and monetary support has on ones ability to succeed, and other controversial topics experienced by today’s creative youth.
