A Foot of Rope (2005)

After impounding a neglected dog, a small town dogcatcher begins the process of trying to find it a new home. Initially unsuccessful, she soon grows attached to the dog and decides to take it home with her. Unable to keep it for a variety of reasons, the dogcatcher turns to her friends, family, and finally, the S.P.C.A. for help.
