Pedro has been living in desert for 4 years along with his mother Eulogia and his sister Ana. They voluntarily alienated themselves from Puerto Viejo after being rejected by their town because of an inexplicable pest that affected both women. Days are slow, dry and heavy. He must provide water and care for his mother and sister while their disease develops. He watches them as their bodies decay and the water is scarce. Death is coming as the desert blooms next to them. |
