An Asian college student, Melissa, is living her life with a secret- she is bulimic. After her roommate finds out, Melissa’s life is turned upside down, and she flees to her grandmother’s for safety. However, it is there that her grandmother brushes it off as an easy obstacle to overcome. In the end, Melissa’s story ends like so many bulimics’- a story so revolting and true that the film almost looks like a documentary. |
