Nick lives his mundane life as a Business Accountant and Helen is bored with the direction her life has taken. They meet each other at an Airport Bar after their flights have been canceled. When they wake up next to each other after a night of drunken fun, they begin to piece their night together. Through a series of flashbacks, Nick and Helen’s relationship develops over many drinks, confessions, and close interaction. As the night comes to a close, Nick and Helen find themselves alone in the bar dancing to a song. Their feelings have grown for each other. The Bartender announces the bar is closing marking an end to their wonderful evening. They find themselves back in Helen’s hotel room where the drinking continues and their affection is taken to new heights. Back in present day, Nick and Helen finish dressing and gathering their items from the night before. Helen is eager to leave and catch her morning flight while Nick is hoping to have one final moment with her. She is passive at first, but agrees to have a coffee with him. At the Coffee Shop Nick begins to reminisce about the night and Helen rejects him. She confesses to him she is married with a child. She leaves the café before getting one last look at Nick, who sits in shock. Helen arrives in a vehicle and receives a text message from Nick. He wishes her a Happy Anniversary and that he’ll pick up their child later. Helen smiles at the message. She is more surprised at Nick for being able to inject a little excitement back into their lives. The creativity in their relationship has reached new heights. There couldn’t have been a better way then reenacting the first time they met; delayed at an Airport. |
