The Arkadilla Project centers around three women returning home to Arkansas from NYC to attempt to live off the land, eating anything they can find, and hoping to specifically eat an elusive armadillo, a critter previously very popular for dinner before their link to leprosy was clearly exposed. The Arkadilla Project is a light-hearted version of edu-tainment that exposes the difficulty of the endeavor for a modern human. The quirky documentary interviews an armadillo expert, attends the 38th World Famous Armadillo Festival, and traces the women’s path throughout their week of hilarious hardship.
