Our hosts give a tour through the nature of medieval castles and the people who live in and around them. In illustration, we also see the story of Aberwyvern Castle, an English castle built as part of King Edward I’s long term strategy to conquer Wales. We see the design and construction of the castle to establish an impregnable English presence to the Welsh. Once established, the lives of its lord, Kevin le Strange, and the other inhabitants are featured both in peace and when the castle’s defensive might is put to the test when Welsh forces lay siege to it. |
