JASON visits a gravesite. He’s deeply affected by the passing of someone close to him. The experience causes him to wonder what happens when we die. What are those last few minutes of life like? These thoughts occupy Jason’s time because he’s going to find the answer very soon. He’s in prison waiting to be executed. Jason’s memories come flooding back. He remembers robbing a bank and killing his parents, discussing the possibility of an afterlife before pulling the trigger. But he used a toy gun. Does this mean this is a dream? Yet he’s still awaiting his execution. He remembers discussing heaven and hell with his sister and experiencing physical pleasure and pain. Is he about to die? Or is this all just a dream?
