La Route (2010)

‘La Route’ is a short video that places the subject in an absurd, isolated situation in the middle of a vacated urban landscape. Constructed almost entirely from still photos and set to a variety of lyrics written by pop music artist Katy Perry, the songs are stripped down to their lyrics only, deconstructed and reconstructed into a free verse poem that becomes the narration of the video. With a lean toward Theatre of the Absurd and an appreciation for vibrant costuming and sexual innuendo, ‘La Route’ puts the glitz of Vegas into the grittiness of Dallas while giving a nod to French art film, ‘La Jetee.’		Currently 0.0/5 (0 votes) Add to Library
