The Kiss of Evil is a love letter to Film Noir. Told through the eyes of a private detective, the film starts out as a murder mystery, ends up both honoring and subverting the genre, and all of the facets and tropes that made it so great. Fast paced dialogue, double entendre, excessive violence, and bad puns all turn this dark crime drama, into a dark comedy. |
