Pixar makes great films but I hate they made this story for a kids movie. Don’t get me wrong because this was good, but c’mon an old jazz music teacher going through midlife crisis and pretty much dies before realizing dream is a weird sales pitch for kids. Kept thinking story would’ve worked better if they made this live action or just had the human world be real. I work in animation and appreciate the work done, but the characters and topic is not something that connects with the target audience. It’s risky they chose this because it’s going to be hard for Disney to merchandise with toys and such.

great film nice way to explain the soul worth the time

Wonderfully realized Pixar film. I honestly saw no need for Tina Fey to be here and just kept wondering why is she in this but that is a small thing. Great animation and great story. Probably would have never known it were here if I had not being anticipating it. Just run straight through so quickly like most predominately black films here.

At first I thought this was some run of the mill movie. There were some very brief political throw backs (Jabs) however the message was good and the story was great. Well worth watching.

Popcorn philosophy, another Pixar saccharin puke-fest.. Disney fluffy pink heaven, SO righteous, make me very angry! Just the story of the guy playing jazz was all i wanted but they had to make a point and go all preachy.. Yeuch, anodine, nul ponts! :(((x

While this is indeed a good film it’s clearly not the best PIXAR film.

So cute. Such a sweet feel-good movie. Definitely one that the whole family can watch. I always love the pixar movies anyway. Enjoy!
