Teenager Abi reluctantly nurses her disabled mother Annie at their cottage on the North Yorkshire coast. They lead separate lives, overshadowed by an absent husband and father whom Abi idolizes, despite being too young to remember him. Annie guarded the truth until now, slowly revealing it to Abi in the hope of repairing their resentful and fractured relationship. |
