As a US Major faces a gritty and long inquiry into his career during the second world war, his carefully spun web of deceit, lies and intrigue slowly comes undone. The mysterious death of a former colleague he recruited, otherwise known as The Colonel, is only a pale shade compared to the allegations of doctoring and falsification he is charged with.
