From diaries, autobiographies, newspapers even down to the forlorn faces in photographs. 1800’s was not the most happy of times, unless one were rich….or so it would seem. The role here is a lead and a character of one who uses their high intelligence and charm to become head of a mine and small railway in the 1800’s. At times nice, they are liable to bouts of anger, class discrimination idealism and foul mouthed diatribes. However, they arrogantly believe they will always comes on top in regards to business decisions. Personal relationships however, leave a lot to be desired. Constant clashes with Suffragettes and the changing landscape of the era; Anti-suffragist, a political movement composed mainly of women, begins to encroach in order to stifle any campaign against women’s suffrage in Great Britain and the United States.
