Where Do You Draw the Line? This semi-experimental narrative explores the idea of whether we see a real person or a perceived understanding of them. Claire, the solo character in the final scene, is an artist who promised to draw portraits of three close friends. Each of the friends has a distinct archetype, yet this archetype is ruptured. Claire promised to make each portrait something that captured the person’s essence. She procrastinated, and has recently been blinded. Now she questions how well she really knows these friends, how she perceives and defines them. The film was student produced, filmed both digitally and on 16mm. |
