Voyeur is the first short film by up and coming filmmaker, Robert Peters who wrote and directed the film when he was just 17 years old. Citing many provoking films as his inspiration, particularly the work of artist and filmmaker ‘Steve McQueen’, Robert tells a intimate story about a man who is disconnected in many ways. The young filmmaker put together a multi-national cast for the shoot with his lead actor, having one single line in the entire film, being a Kiwi born South African and his supporting actress from Germany. The inciting idea for the project was when Robert felt that the very nature of cinema was ‘Voyeuristic’, and wanted to show the audience this idea in a way they haven’t seen before. |
