From the creators of the Evil Grin Gift Box series of dark comedy shorts, Leroy’s Big Day sets a familiar tale of love and loss against the backdrop of a world inhabited by wuffins - furry, happy creatures whose endless love of cakes and revelry prevents them from having the capacity to handle any amount of pain or sadness. Using only a five-person film cast and crew, the filmmakers use dramatic camera work and an original score to ground a world of puppets in relatable human drama, all the while punctuated by bleak, satirical wit.
