Set sometime in the 1950s, ‘The Robert & Rosie Show’ is a warmhearted homage to sitcoms of the era, like ‘I Love Lucy’, ‘Life With Elizabeth’, and ‘The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show’. Before Ricky loved Lucy and everybody loved Raymond, Milwaukee businessman Robert Hughes loved his doting wife, Rosie. The same holds true for their best friends, Charlie & Jan Johnson. When a power outage on double date night puts a kink in their television viewing plans, shenanigans ensue as the gang huddles together to wait it out. |
