This story is about a Victorian woman, with estranged character traits, living out her societal values life in modern day San Francisco. I wanted to explore how the social norms and “evils” of past generations are now pedestrian. The costs of living a life separated from ones inner self, takes its toll, especially in San Francisco. However, with all our freedoms and focus on oneself, it can feel we are still trapped. My hope is that my film illuminates the pressure we inflict on ourselves to conform, but also shows no matter how great the self-deception, the truth within us does not yield to social pressure. |

Sassinak : Upsetting, to say the least. And very very timely. Links are dead.
