Shot during a stopover between film shoots on a borrowed minidv camera, SHEILA’S GOLD documents a midnight journey through the alleyways of Toronto’s little Portugal with ‘legendary rebel comedian’ satirist and ‘song tosser’ Sheila Gostick and filmmaker/actor Tamara Gorski. As we move through the fresh snowfall, we hear fragments of Gostick’s ‘midnight commentary’ along with Petunia’s love song for her. A testament to Gosticks essential activity as a Queer activist dating back to the very first non coroirate Lesbian and Gay toronto Pride Festival, this video captures the artists’ visit in Nature with updates including stories of those who sing dance judge condemn edit and love her. |
