When shy, quiet and unassuming nursery school teacher Chloe Diaz takes a stranger hostage on Federal land and stabs him to death repeatedly in a secluded forest, she remembers nothing of the incident. Taken into custody by FBI Dallas, Chloe is grilled by Special Agent Ezekiel Johnson, a damaged man, still recovering from loss. Though Chloe claims not to know anything Johnson doesn’t believe her, and despite the best efforts of her slimy court appointed lawyer, Marcus du Pont, takes things across the line. As the questioning goes on deep into the night, Johnson is finally forced to stop, but he soon finds out that things are not as clear cut as they seem, and that he himself is next in line to undergo the same horrific experience as Chloe. |
