A television comedy (sitcom) based on an investment team that work for a Hedge Fund called Phoenix Capital. They comprise of the crooked Camelot (Crossbow) Higgins, the firms CEO, Lauren McGee, his 40 something nymphomaniac PA, Johnson McBride, the clever investment analyst with a weakness for the opposite sex, Heindrich Berg, the staunch German trader who is a secret cross dresser, Bubblejeet Singh, the IT support guy from India who can hardly speak a word of English, Dave Souter aka Risky Dave, the risk manager who doesn’t have a clue about managing risk, Katia Godlevsky, the over qualified Moldavian office cleaner, and Sarah Jones, the blonde and rather gullible office intern and Bubblejeet’s love interest. BANKERS is eponymous of the banking debacle and contrarian perception of the individuals that dog this industry. Partly driven by greed, lust, and all other deadly sins, the comedy makes a mockery of the individuals that characterise the banking industry. It is a farcical display of the extended personalities in this field, mostly stereotypical and always ambitiously unrealistic.
