RELEASE is a short dramatic narrative based on the life of a young female black tar heroin user. The film takes a bleak yet frank journey with Josie who is an intelligent yet addicted 25 yr. old, as she struggles with her demons upon being released from prison. Her parole is based upon her working at the job her brother has previously arranged for her. Josie’s life hangs in the balance when she is released from prison and her brother has not come to pick her up and she must make her own way.. |
