Americana Noir Vignettes are 4 short stories that revolve around the Madison’s, a black family living in Chicago in the late 60’s. With two writers and 3 directors, each vignette is unique in its approach and delivery while managing to maintain a poignant cohesiveness as they play out back to back. The complex simplicity of Americana Noir Vignettes is its strongest feature. With stories about teen rebellion, collective tragedy, violent introspect, and the need to ensure that our children have the foundation to reach for the stars, Americana Noir Vignettes takes the viewer back in time and captivates until the very last credit. |
